Frequently Asked Questions.

What is The Divorce Shield Advocate Network?

The Divorce Shield Advocate Network is a powerful turn-key marketing program that helps you attract new clients who are currently in need of your professional services. This program has been designed to help those going through divorce to make informed and empowered decisions during this stressful time in their lives.

Divorce Shield is a comprehensive education program provided for free to those experiencing or considering divorce. Each client plan is customized to include professional profiles and contact information for the local professionals in their local area who have licensed the Divorce Shield Advocate Network program.

Professionals eligible for exclusive representation in the network include:

  • Accountants
  • Bankruptcy Attorneys
  • Divorce Attorneys
  • Estate Planning Attorneys
  • Financial Planning Professionals
  • Health & Disability Insurance Professionals
  • Life Insurance Professionals
  • Marriage Counselors
  • Mediators
  • Mortgage Professionals
  • Property Insurance Professionals
  • Real Estate Professionals

How will prospective clients find out about my business?

Everyone who accesses their free Divorce Shield plan at DivorceShield.com in the zip codes you license will instantly receive information about you and the professional services you offer. Your information will be incorporated into the pertinent sections of their personal Divorce Shield Plan as well as in the Resources and My Advocates sections of the plan. Click here to view a sample of how your business will appear in Divorce Shield plans.

In addition, Divorce Shield Advocate Network will:

  • Feature your professional profile in the appropriate sections of the DivorceShield.com website.
  • Enable prospective clients to request consultations with you through our automated referral service.
  • Send an email promoting you to everyone who receives the Divorce Shield program in your market.
  • Provide you with information about everyone who accesses the Divorce Shield program in your zip codes.

How does the Professional Co-Marketing Program work?

The most powerful part of our program is the fact that every time a licensed Advocate markets their professional services through their DivorceShield.com custom website address, they are also co-marketing the services of each and every other professional in the other professional categories who have licensed the same zip codes.

This means that if you are a Real Estate professional who has licensed the 90210 zip code in Beverly Hills, California, each and every time a Divorce, Bankruptcy, or Estate Planning Attorney as well as a Financial, Tax, Mortgage or Insurance Professional markets to clients who download the Divorce Shield plan in that zip code, you are featured as a recommended Real Estate Professional.

This means you could have hundreds of professionals in complimentary industries driving business your way.

Now imagine how your business would grow if you build new referral relationships with just one of these other professionals each and every week.  That would lead to 50 new referral sources per year, each sending you business worth thousands of dollars to you.

How will I receive referrals from the referral network?

You will receive referrals from the network generated through the following:

  • Referrals generated by other professionals in your market.
  • Leads you generate through the inclusion of your custom DivorceShield.com URL.
  • Divorce Shield web, print, TV and radio marketing, as well as through our PR efforts.

How many zip codes can I license?

You can license 1, 3, 5 or 10 zip codes. Click here for complete pricing information and current promotions.

How are Advocate profiles integrated into Divorce Shield plans for people facing divorce?

When you join our program, you will be integrated into Divorce Shield plans in 3 ways:

1 - ZIP CODES YOU LICENSE

We integrate the Advocates who have licensed that zip code for each of the 12 categories. We allow no more than three Advocates to license each zip code, so if there is more than one Advocate in a category who has licensed the client’s zip code, we rotate each Advocate through the plans and include a “Click For More” link the client can click to view all of the Advocates who have licensed that zip code.

2 - YOUR CUSTOM URL

When clients use your custom URL, you will be the ONLY professional in your category that appears in that client’s plan even if you haven’t licensed that zip code.

3 - YOUR REFERRAL TEAM

When clients use the custom URL of any of your Referral Partners, you will override the Advocate who has licensed the client’s zip code. This means that the more Referral Partners you have who recommend you, the more prospective clients you will be promoted to.

How does my Custom URL work?

As you incorporate your custom URL into your email signature, website, social media and other communication to clients and professional network, people facing divorce will start to download the free Divorce Shield plan. Our system invisibly adds a Cookie to the user's browser so that each of these referrals are automatically tracked and tied to your account. Each person who downloads the plan will then see your name, photo and contact information as the Presenter of the plan on every page within the Divorce Shield plan regardless of whether they are in one of your licensed zip codes.

Can I market my Divorce Shield website outside of my licensed market?

You do have the ability to market your custom DivorceShield.com website address and attract clients outside of your licensed market. Each time a client downloads a Divorce Shield plan through your custom website address, you will be the only professional in your category included in the plan and you will be prominently promoted on every page of the plan.

That being said, it is important to understand that your professional bio and contact information will only be incorporated into Divorce Shield plans that are either generated in your licensed zip codes or through your custom URL or the custom URLs of your Referral Team.

Can I change my zip codes later on?

Yes. You can change your zip code at any time by simply clicking on the “My Account” tab and then clicking on “My Zip Codes” in the left column. Then you can click the “Remove” link from any zip code you no longer wish to license after which you can search for and choose another zip code to license.

Can I upgrade to a better plan later on?

Yes. You are welcome to start out with any plan you want and then upgrade to a better plan later on. Many Advocates upgrade their plan once they have invited other professionals who join our network.
The only risk in waiting to license some of your desired zip codes is that they may be sold out if you wait. Therefore we suggest you license all of the zip codes that you actively market yourself in so that you maximize promotion for your business.

Do professionals I recommend have to be in the same zip code?

No. Advocates you recommend can be in any zip code. In fact, you can expand the promotion you receive by building Referral Partnerships with Advocates who are licensing other zip codes.

Do I have to provide free initial consultations?

While the provision of free initial consultations is not a requirement to participate as an advocate in our network, it is highly recommended to maximize the results you receive. Initial consultations are one of the most profitable marketing opportunities you have for your business. During that 30-60 minute initial meeting, you have a powerful opportunity to build rapport and credibility with your prospective client and immediately demonstrate how using your counsel will help them save money, protect their assets or alleviate anxiety.

Can I invite the professionals I already work with to join the Referral Network?

Absolutely. In fact, one of the first steps in your Yes to Success support system is to make sure that the professionals you already know, respect and share referrals with are part of the network. Imagine the power of working with a team of 10-50 professionals who are all actively generating referrals for their business while simultaneously marketing your business and services to each and every referral that comes in.

If I refer my professional contacts to join the Referral Network, is there anything in it for me?

Yes, there is. For each professional who joins the network as a result of your referral, you will earn a credit of 33.3% of their paid licensing fees towards your monthly license fee. That means that your monthly license can be Absolutely FREE just by inviting 3 other professionals who join the network on the same plan as you.

How does the Refer 3 & It's Free program work?

You simply invite other professionals to join our network using our automated invitation engine located at http://www.DSAdvocates.com/invite and when they join, you will receive a credit of 33.33% of their license fee each and every month. So if they join at our most popular PLUS plan and pay $99.95, you will receive a credit of $33.32 each month they are in the network. That means that if you inspire 3 people to join on the same plan you are on, it will be absolutely free for you.

Am I required to refer to other Advocates within the Referral Network?

No. Divorce Shield always refers people that download a Divorce Shield Plan to our local licensed Advocates, to ensure that those going through divorce have your contact information. For our Advocates, we recommend but do not require you to refer to other licensed Advocates within the network. Make sure to stick to your specialty and only give counsel in the areas you have been professionally trained and licensed. This is especially true when giving counsel that could be considered legal advice, as the last thing you want to do is give legal advice without a license. If you are unsure, it's always best to simply recommend that they ask an appropriate professional.
